Nockchain to Launch This Wednesday, May 21

We might have hit our initial Monday target, but we’re going the extra mile.

We currently have a fully functioning blockchain. We’re calling it the “Dumbnet,” which means while it will be the mainnet, it’s still an early experimental version.

We want to spend a few more days running additional launch tests under varied network conditions to root out lingering edge cases and refine our open-source documentation.

Nockchain Issuance Schedule

The Nockchain issuance schedule will halve the issuance rate at the end of each epoch. The definition of an epoch differs from traditional methods, employing a backoff algorithm that makes each successive epoch longer than the previous one, until reaching a final maximum epoch length of 7 years.

The total supply cap is set at 2³² (4,294,967,296).
